Pokemon Video Game Showdown 2008

The Pokemon Video Game Showdown 2008 was the first video game tournament that was nationwide for the Diamond and Pearl games. It featured two stops, in Los Angeles and New York City, with the nationals being in Orlando, FL. There were 128 people participating at each stop in both age divisions(12 and under, and 13+). The top 8 of each division got an invitation to compete in FL on August 15th-17th for the showdown of the best players. It involved Japan's previous winners and qualifiers and the United States's players. The winner was Izuru Yoshimura, the winner of Japan's previous tournament. The finals can be found here: Final part 1 Final part 2.
