Pokemon VGC 2009 Qualifiers - Philadelphia
This Pokemon VGC stop, near Philadelphia, PA, was by far the most crowded event of the year so far(and probably of all the qualifiers). Over 600+ people officially attended, and apparently there were an estimated 400 more that they were unable to get wristbands for, which is about 1000 seniors in attendance. With only 128 spots available, this created quite a stir about the amount of spots that Pokemon USA had for the tournament. When the tournament came to a close, Pokethan of our forums and smogon.com came in first, with VashTheStampede, also a member of our forums, came in second. Check out both strategies they used in the video below. Outside of the actual battle, the crowd is extremely entertaining as well.
